How Artificial Intelligence Shapes Activism in the MENA Region
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming social and gender justice activism in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Activists in countries like the occupied Palestinian territory and beyond now face both unique opportunities and new challenges. AI-powered technologies have the potential to amplify voices, streamline organizing, and mobilize support for justice-oriented causes. However, these same technologies can also serve as tools for co-optation, surveillance, and suppression by authorities or opposing groups. 
Navigating Engagement, Resistance, and Co-optation
