AMD to Hike RX 9000 GPU Prices
If you’ve been eyeing the next big graphics card upgrade, brace yourself. AMD is reportedly planning to increase the prices of its RX 9000 series GPUs. The culprit? Soaring GDDR6 memory costs that are putting pressure on the entire GPU market.

Why the Price Hike?
Recent industry reports suggest that GDDR6 memory—the high-speed RAM used in most modern graphics cards—has become significantly more expensive. AMD, always in fierce competition with Nvidia, now faces tough choices. To maintain performance and keep up with demand, it looks like they’ll pass increased costs on to consumers. Not exactly the news PC gamers wanted to hear, especially after years of high GPU prices and stock shortages.
On the bright side, maybe this is a good excuse to dust off that old graphics card and finally beat your backlog! Or maybe it’s time to switch to Solitaire?
