Celebrating a Classic
Recently, Wheatus’ iconic hit “Teenage Dirtbag” marked its 25th anniversary. This beloved 2000 pop-rock anthem has seen countless covers over the years. However, Ed Sheeran had a unique connection to the song, as he used to perform it with his band when he was just 12 years old. Surprisingly, he had never sung it live until now.
During a recent concert in Hamburg, Germany, Ed Sheeran finally took the plunge. He invited Brendan B. Brown, the lead singer of Wheatus, to join him on stage for this special performance. Ed expressed his excitement on Instagram, calling it “one of my favorite moments ever on stage.” Fans were thrilled to see this collaboration and hear a fresh rendition of the classic tune.
