Escalating Conflict: The Tragic Toll of Israeli Airstrikes on Lebanon

Continued Air Raids in Beirut

The Israeli Military continues its relentless air strikes in the suburbs of Beirut, marking the fourth consecutive day of bombardment. These attacks have resulted in at least 59 new fatalities, bringing the total death toll in Lebanon to a staggering 3,445 people since the onset of conflict last year.

On Friday,Israeli airstrikes demolished five buildings in Beirut’s southern suburbs, including one near the busy Tayouneh junction. Israel has issued evacuation orders for these areas, which were soon followed by overwhelming air assaults in regions such as Ghobeiry and Burj Al-Barajneh. Over the past day, the Israeli army claims to have attacked more than 120 Hezbollah targets across Lebanon.

Hezbollah’s Response

In retaliation, Hezbollah launched rockets at Israeli soldiers stationed in Misgav Am and the Yiftah Barracks. Furthermore, they targeted another group of soldiers on the eastern outskirts of Markaba and attacked positions in northern Israel, specifically Sasa and Dishon. The ongoing violence has led to a total of 14,599 wounded in Lebanon since the outbreak of hostilities in Gaza.
