Introduction to the TAEPS Study
The TAEPS study (“Teachers in Adult Education—A Panel Study”) has recently made waves in the education sector. Starting from late June 2025, researchers can access the first survey data from this comprehensive study. It sheds light on the employment, qualifications, and skills of adult education teachers in Germany. This study aims to enhance the understanding of what defines a successful adult educator.
The TAEPS study not only expands the available data portfolio but also addresses the pressing need for quality in adult education. With a focus on both qualitative and quantitative research methods, it provides insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by adult educators. By analyzing their qualifications and skills, the study aims to bolster the education system and improve outcomes for adult learners across Germany.
