Holy See Stands Firm on Two-State Solution
The Vatican has once again thrown its weight behind the two-state solution for Israel and Palestine. At a recent United Nations meeting, Archbishop Caccia spoke passionately about the urgent need for a peaceful resolution in the Middle East. He emphasized the Holy See’s unwavering support for a just and lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians. The Vatican believes that both parties deserve security, dignity, and the right to exist in peace within internationally recognized borders.
Backing the Work of UNRWA
Not stopping there, Archbishop Caccia also called for continued international support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). UNRWA plays a vital role in providing humanitarian aid to Palestinian refugees. With the ongoing crisis, he urged countries not to abandon this lifeline. The Holy See’s message is clear: the world must not tire of seeking peace, nor turn its back on those who need help the most.
Let’s be honest—sometimes international diplomacy feels like a never-ending rerun. Yet, the Vatican’s persistence is a reminder that hope (and a little stubbornness) can go a long way when lives depend on it. Let’s just hope the rest of the world is paying attention.
