The Power of Family Traditions
Every October, my kids and I would transform our home into a Halloween wonderland. Decorating for Halloween became our cherished family tradition. We would laugh, share stories, and pick the spookiest decorations together. These moments created lasting memories and brought us closer year after year.
Facing Change and Finding New Meaning
This year, though, things felt different. I found myself putting up Halloween decorations alone. My kids had grown up and lost interest in our old routine. As I hung the familiar ghosts and pumpkins, I realized how much I missed those special times together. Doing it solo made me reflect on how quickly children grow and how important it is to savor every moment. While change is inevitable, the memories we built as a family will always stay with me. Now, I look for new ways to connect and keep the spirit of togetherness alive, even as our traditions evolve.
