Iran’s Stance on IAEA Collaboration
In a recent statement, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi clarified that Iran does not plan to completely cease its collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). This announcement came as a response to earlier reports suggesting a full halt in cooperation.
Araghchi emphasized that the nation continues to engage with the IAEA despite increasing tensions surrounding Iran’s nuclear program. He highlighted that while there are challenges, a complete withdrawal from dialogue is not on Iran’s agenda. This decision reflects Iran’s commitment to maintaining some level of transparency and cooperation on nuclear matters, even as geopolitical dynamics evolve.
