Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter Visit NYU Grad Acting
The NYU Grad Acting Department recently had an electric day as Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter dropped by for a special guest speaker event. Students and faculty gathered in anticipation, eager to hear insights from the iconic duo behind ‘Bill & Ted’. Laurence Maslon, a Grad Acting faculty member, moderated the event, steering the conversation through their careers, creative journeys, and the realities of acting in Hollywood.
The session buzzed with energy as Keanu and Alex shared stories from their time on stage and screen, offering advice that was equal parts practical and hilarious. Students soaked up their words, possibly hoping some of that legendary ‘Keanu calm’ would rub off. (Who wouldn’t want to say ‘whoa’ with such authenticity?) The duo reminded everyone that, while the industry can be tough, passion and friendship go a long way.
Takeaway from the Event
It’s not every day you get to learn from two legends who’ve traveled through time—on screen, at least.
