MMDA Halts Number Coding Scheme for November 10
Heads up, Metro Manila drivers! The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced the suspension of the number coding scheme on November 10. This decision comes as the city braces for the heavy rainfall expected from ‘Uwan.’ The advisory, released on Sunday afternoon, gives everyone a break from the daily struggle of remembering which car plates can hit the road. 
Why the Suspension?
The MMDA made this move in anticipation of the severe weather conditions brought by ‘Uwan.’ It aims to ensure the safety and convenience of commuters and motorists when the rains hit hard. No need to stress about the coding rules for a day—just focus on staying dry and safe!
As always, Metro Manila roads will surely see a bit more action when number coding is off. So, expect some traffic, and maybe pack extra patience. Because in the Philippines, when it rains, it pours—and sometimes, it pours so much, the rules take a break!
