Over the last two decades, there have been more than 5000 reported cases of Japanese encephalitis, along with the detection of the Zika virus in 2016. However, the virological landscape remains largely unexplored. Between 2021 and 2022, researchers conducted extensive mosquito surveillance across eight ecologically diverse regions in Guizhou.
