Pakistan brought the Kashmir issue into focus during a recent OIC Contact Group meeting in New York. Pakistani officials briefed the group about the current situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
OIC’s Call for Dialogue
The member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation stressed the importance of peaceful resolution and open dialogue in addressing the Kashmir dispute. They expressed solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir and reaffirmed their support for a diplomatic approach.
Continued Support from OIC Members
Turkey and Saudi Arabia, along with other OIC nations, urged all parties to resolve the issue through peaceful negotiations in accordance with international law. The meeting highlighted the ongoing commitment of OIC countries to support Kashmiris.
