Penticton RCMP Face a Surge in Halloween Calls
Halloween night in Penticton turned out to be much busier than usual for local police. The Penticton RCMP reported handling 50 calls for service this year, a significant jump compared to the usual 30 calls on a typical fall Friday night. It seems the spooky season brought more tricks than treats for law enforcement!

Why the Increase This Year?
This Halloween, the community kept officers on their toes with a range of calls. From minor disturbances to incidents that required more attention, the night was anything but quiet. Maybe it was the full moon, the extra candy, or just the spirit of the season that led to the spike. Whatever the reason, it’s clear that Penticton takes its Halloween celebrations seriously—sometimes a little too seriously!
Honestly, if you thought only ghosts and goblins were out causing mischief, think again. The real fright for Penticton RCMP was their constantly ringing phones. Next year, maybe they’ll invest in some superhero capes to keep up with the pace!
