Heavy Rainfall Hits Telangana
Telangana is facing significant disruptions as heavy rain continues to lash the region. Various parts of the state are experiencing severe flooding, particularly in low-lying areas. This relentless downpour has cut off numerous villages and severely impacted daily activities.
Since Tuesday night, the northern districts of Telangana have received excessive rainfall. The Mulugu district reported the highest rainfall, measuring an astonishing 25.5 cm in just 24 hours. As a result, rivulets, lakes, and ponds in the region are overflowing, leading to widespread inundation.
In Venkatapuram mandal, entire villages have become marooned. Residents faced a harrowing night as their homes were flooded. The main road connecting Venkatapuram to Bhadrachalam is submerged, bringing all vehicular traffic to a standstill.
