Tragedy continues to unfold in Sudan as civilians flee the besieged city of Al Fasher. Since the city’s fall, more than 150 cases of sexual violence have been reported. Human rights groups are raising alarms, pointing out that these atrocities are far from new. The Rapid Support Forces (RSF), accused of carrying out these crimes, have operated with impunity for over two decades. Survivors recount harrowing escapes, with one woman stating, “No one could stop it.” The world seems to watch, but little changes for those on the ground.
