UN Chief’s Stance on Gaza Aid
In a strong statement, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has firmly rejected the Israeli-US aid plan for Gaza. He argues that this plan violates fundamental UN principles. Guterres emphasizes the need for humanitarian aid to be impartial and unrestricted, highlighting that such conditions are crucial for maintaining the integrity of international law.
During the recent Arab League summit, Guterres also called for a ceasefire in Gaza. He stated that the ongoing conflict stands unmatched in its brutality throughout history. The international community must prioritize peace efforts and humanitarian assistance. Without a proper ceasefire, the situation in Gaza will only worsen, leading to further suffering.
