The House has not convened since September 19. President Trump has made several departures from Washington, sending a clear message: negotiations are not exactly a top priority. 
This stalemate is affecting federal workers and services nationwide. Essential government functions remain in limbo as politicians continue their game of chicken. Like a bad sitcom, the reruns keep getting worse, and nobody wants to change the channel.
Everyday Americans Feel the Impact
Federal employees face uncertainty about their paychecks. Public services are disrupted. It’s almost as if Congress thinks the solution will arrive in the mail—if only the postal service was running at full speed! Let’s hope our elected officials find their way back to work before the nation’s patience finally runs out. It’s a classic case of ‘do-nothing’ politics, and this episode is getting old fast.
