US Senator Marco Rubio revealed that the United States has issued a warning to France regarding its stance on Israel’s proposed annexation moves.
US Urges France to Rethink Position
Rubio shared that the US Secretary of State expressed concerns over France’s recent actions, particularly their steps towards recognising Palestine. The secretary argued that such moves could trigger reciprocal actions from opposing sides and disrupt ongoing ceasefire negotiations. 
Concerns Over Peace Process
According to Rubio, the US administration believes that recognising Palestine at this stage could complicate international efforts to mediate a ceasefire. The US prefers a diplomatic approach that encourages negotiation between Israel and Palestine, rather than unilateral decisions that might escalate tensions. The secretary of state further criticised the timing of France’s proposal, stating it could undermine stability and progress in the region.
As the situation develops, the US continues to advocate for dialogue and restraint from all parties. The issue remains sensitive, with global powers closely monitoring any shifts that could affect the Middle East peace process.
